Coach JoJo Ballestero
Coach JoJo in his first year as Head Coach with the Aztecs helped lead us to our first League Championship in 3 years. Coach JoJo takes a primary focus on the skills development for our program. Prior to joining the Aztecs, he was a Pro Skills Trainer in China, where he trained CBA & WCBA athletes for nearly 2 years. JoJo’s knowledge and attention to detail for Basketball Skills Development gives our players a great opportunity to improve their game.
Since his return to the United States, JoJo has worked with numerous California-Native NBA athletes. JoJo Ballestero’s roster includes NBA stars Brandon Jennings, LaMelo Ball, Klay Thompson, KZ Okpala, and Stanley Johnson. Coach JoJo graduated with a double major in Business Management & Business Marketing from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL. During his 4-year basketball career at USF, he set multiple records including the 3-point FG percentage, the 3-point FG made, and the Free Throw Percentage, to name a few. After graduating from USF in 2017, he went on to play and coach professionally in China.
Coach JoJo and Anthony have had a long history of basketball together that dates back to their early childhood. Coaching alongside each other is a dream come true.
